Perfect for editing all my photos, but most time I only use iOS photography apps for that.

Useful for save data and make websites power by its API.

Windows like alt-tab for macOS, free and easy to use.
Apple Music
I have Apple One family plan so it's nice to have but I don't use it a lot.
Arc
The future of the browser. I really like using it as my second browser, the design and details are so good.
Bandcamp
Best indie music platform for artists and I like to listen to it because some music doesn't available on Spotify.
Bartender
A must-have app for hiding menus and apps, all these must-have ones are included in Setapp, so you don't need to pay for it.
Battery Buddy
Replaced the macOS default battery indicator in the menu bar with this, cute and free.
BetterTouchTool
Best app allows you to customize various input devices on your Mac.
Boom 3D
Once you've use this improving macOS sound quality, you can never go back.
Brave Browser
I only use it for Web3 stuff, plugins, wallets, etc.

A rule based proxy For Mac, aka ladder.

I use it install and update apps more than clean up.

I really like the UI and some of the features, but it also feels just not right, too complicated and too much settings on sidebar, and backlinks are not as you expect.

A must-have Mac app for Google calendar. It has been acquired by Notion but is still the best out there.

After years of failure Framer finally succeeded with their new Framer Sites, it’s a game-changer. I use it for quick testing web projects, it’s a little bit expensive for personal use though.

Useful for converts video frames to GIF.

Sometimes I feel this tool is more easy to use than others to push code.
Gmail
For my main email address, I mostly use it for registering new products, subscribing to newsletters, etc.
Google Drive
I paid for this only because I needed to backup my photos and emails.
Google Tasks
After trying out so many todo apps I finally settled on this, it is across all my devices and always opens in the Gmail sidebar, perfect for small tasks.

I use Linear and Height at the same time for trying out which one works for me, turns out Height works better for me.

Tiny and simple API testing tool, so easy to use.

My second note-taking app, is great for study and research, like the video timestamp feature and stuff. But the UI is…Wish they can do better in the future.

New read it later app that has been used for a while, but it doesn't work well with code snippets.

I really like this note-taking app, especially save twitter threads, but again it doesn't has some features I want.

Best Gmail Apps on Mac, can’t believe it still free after all these years.

Controls your external display brightness and volume.
Muse
a wide-open canvas for your mind, ueful for some creative thinking.

I like watching shows when I'm working.

Beautiful and free calculator app.
Obsidian
The most powerful and beautiful Note-taking app, but it’s a little bit heavy and too many plugins, I only use it for long articles.
One Switch
I only use it for keep my Mac awake, maybe I should replace it with something lighter.
OneDrive
I no longer use Dropbox and switched to this, cheaper and more flexible.
OpenIn
This little app from Setapp lets you select which browser you want to open.
OpenInTerminal
Very useful simple tool for quickly open folders in terminal and editors, set up a global shortcut and done.
Outlook
I only use it on mobile devices, because it has built-in calendar so I don’t need to install Google Calendar.

The most advanced API tool for Mac, really powerful when dealing with API development.

I use Safari many years as my default browser, but recently I’m living in Arc, only using it for syncing reading lists.

One-stop subscription to install every must-have app on Mac and iPhone. It’s way better than the App store, Apple should do it too. But since the subscription is becoming more popular, tons of great apps are not included in.

I prefer this app more than that popular CleanShot X, it has many more great features.

The best color app on Mac, a must-have for designers and developers.

Run system commands and display their output on your desktop, like widgets. I used it for years to hide my default menu bar and display custom stuff.

I deployed all my web projects to Vercel.
Visual Studio Code
My favorite coding app, since I only write web apps now, I don’t need Xcode or other IDEs anymore. Used to be a Textmate and Sublime Text fan.
Warp
New favorite command line app.
Have to use this ugly and lack of functionality app in China.
yabai
Thera are tons of great window management apps for Mac, but my favorite is always yabai, which allows you to control your windows automatically, no UI and shit, just works.
Youtube
Best platform for learning new things and technologies, also it’s great as white noise.
Zhubai
I write my newsletters on it, the main reason is that it has paid subscription service with WeChat, but the editor is really hard to use.
